Noah Sands will begin his National Campaign of the Australian Formula Ford Championship with CHE Racing when round one gets underway from March 5-7. Racing in the same colours Sands could be seen in last year in his two New South Wales Formula Ford round starts, the CHE driver is eager to get back behind the wheel.

Last time Sands hit the track in a race meeting was at Wakefield Park in the final round of the NSW Formula Ford Championship, where he claimed two race wins and overall round honours.

“Stepping up to the National Series this year is going to bring with it a new challenge. The quality of the field will be extremely high, but I believe I’m up for the fight, Tom (Sargent) has been really instrumental in my development so far and I’m learning a lot from him all the time,” said Sands.

“I grew up racing against Tom, with us both coming from rural NSW we raced in the same series when we were younger. It’s pretty cool that we’re on the same team and racing in a national series together now.”

“My ambition this year is to grow as a driver under the instruction of Cameron Hill. Cameron is a fantastic coach and role model who is a previous Australian Formula Ford Champion and now a leading driver in the Porsche Carrera Cup. I am focused on the championship this year as a rookie and Sydney Motorsport Park will tell us a lot about who’s got the pace this year,” concluded Sands.

The Australian Formula Ford Championship commences for the 2021 season at Sydney Motorsport Park from March 5-7.
