Aspiring young racers looking to make the next step in their motorsport career will have the opportunity to sample a front-running Formula Ford as part of the CHE Racing Driver Evaluation Day, to be held at Wakefield Park Raceway on Wednesday, 25 November.
Each participant will receive two 15-minute sessions in one of CHE Racing’s Mygale Formula Fords, which have won races and rounds of the Australian Formula Ford Championship.
To provide drivers with a genuine taste of Formula Ford competition, they will receive full trackside support from the CHE team, including one-on-one tuition and data analysis with 2015 Australian Formula Ford Champion and driver coach Cameron Hill.
Hill said the day is ideal for any drivers looking to make the progression to state or national Formula Ford competition for 2021.
“Many young drivers aiming for a motorsport career are considering Formula Ford as an option for next season, our evaluation day will give them an opportunity to try one of the cars before they commit to a full racing program,” Hill said.
“Naturally, we expect the day to attract karting competitors who are ready to make the transition to cars, but we’re open to drivers from categories such as the Excel and Pulsar Series as well.
“Once people drive one of our Formula Fords, they’ll understand why we love these cars so much and why it has become renowned as Australia’s premier development category – they are so fun and rewarding to drive.”
The evaluation day will cost $650 per entrant, with interested participants advised to register their interest through the contact details in the flyer below.
Successful applicants will be announced on Friday, 20 November.
